The Red River - 43 km
This is a new route enabling you to pursue your discovery of Rivière Rouge. You can
take a breather on its shores mid-way along the tour, at Parc des Canotiers on Des Îles
street. Please note that a section of the route also serves as a forestry road with few or no
shoulder and logging traffic. Level of difficulty : intermediate.
| Km 0 | Departure from the parking of L’Annonciation’s train station in Ville de Rivière-Rouge, at 682 rue L’Annonciation North. Turn right on Highway 117 North. |
| Km 0,4 | Turn right on Landry street. |
| Km 2,9 | At the stopsign, turn right on Highway 117 North. |
| Km 3,3 | Turn right on Chemin de la Mullen. |
| Km 21,7 | Keep straight ahead, you will go through the village of L’Ascension. Restaurant, convenience store, boat ramp, hiking trail. |
| Km 22,6 | At the Y sign, take a right unto Chemin de la Rivière Rouge. |
| Km 34,1 | Caution, 0.2 km of gravel road. |
| Km 41,7 | Turn right on Du Pont Street in Ville de Rivière-Rouge. |
| Km 42,1 | Turn right on L’Annonciation Street Nort |
| Km 42,6 | Turn right and head back to L’Annonciation train station. |
